Chichibu, Venture Whisky's small-batch distillery in Saitama, occasionally releases travel-retail expressions for the Japanese domestic market alongside its standard range and dedicated export bottlings. This NAS bottling from 2019 is one such release, available through selected Japanese travel channels and representing a direct expression of the distillery's house style without the framing of a named edition series. Travel-channel releases of this kind give domestic visitors access to bottlings that do not circulate in the wider market.

Matured in Ex-Bourbon casks and bottled at a robust 57.5% cask strength, the release draws on the vanilla, caramel and tropical fruit notes that Ex-Bourbon wood typically coaxes from Chichibu's vibrant new make. The flavour profile was not specified on the label, but in the house style the whisky offers bright orchard fruit and creamy sweetness delivered at full natural strength.
