This single-cask release was distilled at Chichibu in Saitama in 2012 and bottled in 2019 to mark the 10th Anniversary of Whisky Live Taipei, making it a Taiwan event release. Chichibu, founded by Ichiro Akuto under Venture Whisky in 2008, has consistently participated in major international whisky events across Asia, typically offering specially selected single casks.
Seven years in Ex-Bourbon wood gives the spirit the vanilla, fresh stone fruit and warm cereal profile typical of Chichibu's 2012 vintage at this age. At 62.4% from a single cask, the intensity is full, and the event provenance adds a clear historical context. The Whisky Live Taipei commission places this bottling alongside other anniversary-driven single-cask allocations from the distillery.
