Malecon Luxurious Chocolate

Malecon Luxurious Chocolate is a flavoured rum from Panama, a country whose rums are typically light, soft and vanilla led, much of the bulk spirit drawn from the large Varela Hermanos operation that supplies many independent labels. As a chocolate expression, it belongs to the sweet, dessert end of the shelf.

Expect the chocolate flavour to lead, carried by the smooth, vanilla tinged molasses character typical of Panamanian rum. Bottled at a low 35%, it is gentle and easy, well suited to sipping as a treat or mixing into sweeter drinks. It is best understood as a confectionery style rum rather than a serious dry Panamanian anejo.
