Description
Planteray Lands Selection 12 Years Old is a retailer collaboration, blended by Maison Ferrand under its Planteray label for the Danish merchant Juuls. As an Island Blend it draws together rum from more than one Caribbean origin, with twelve years of age behind it.
Maison Ferrand double-ages in France and openly uses dosage, so this reads as a rounded, lightly sweetened style rather than a dry one. Ex-bourbon maturation typically gives vanilla, toffee, soft oak and dried fruit, and at 46.8% the blend carries a touch more strength and grip than a standard bottling. It is an approachable, well-aged blend that plays to the house's smooth, accessible signature.
