Bottled by Vagabond Spirits, this Bonne Mere Harmony is a three year aged Guadeloupe rum made from molasses rather than cane juice, distilled at Bonne Mere and finished in Jurancon white wine casks. A single cask bottled unsweetened at cask strength, 52 percent, it pushes well beyond the usual molasses-rum template.

Matured in ex-bourbon wood and finished in Jurancon casks, it is intensely fruity: mango, passion fruit and papaya lead the nose alongside a vegetal, winey edge, with tropical fruit, floral and light wine notes across the palate. The finish brings mint, passion fruit and a winey lift. There is a salty, minty twist that can divide opinion, but the bright tropical fruit makes it a vivid, easy summer sipper.
