Ron Aldea Tradicion 1999 comes from the Canary Islands, a small and unusual rum origin where the Quevedo family distil on La Palma using cane grown on the island's volcanic terraces. The 1999 vintage marks a spirit laid down with real age behind it, bottled by the distillery itself.

With long maturation and a bottling strength of 43%, it should show the qualities such time in oak usually develops: mellow vanilla, dried fruit, light spice and a rounded, settled feel. The Canary origin gives it a story apart from the Caribbean mainstream, an island añejo for drinkers who like to follow rum to its quieter corners.
