Description
Heimat Distillers Diamond Bartenders Blend 2024 is a younger Guyanese rum built on Diamond stock, a blend of pot and column still spirit matured across five different casks by the German Heimat distillery. The multi-cask approach is aimed at a flexible bartender's blend, leaning on the naturally rich, dark side of Demerara at a young age.
Matured in ex-bourbon and other wood and bottled at 47.2%, the rum is gourmand and caramel-led. The nose carries caramel, caramelized notes, brown sugar and burnt sugar, while the palate is concentrated with chocolate and caramel. The finish stays sweet and rich with chocolate, spice, caramel and brown sugar. Sitting clearly in the house Ramero style, the spread of casks gives a tasty combination of caramel and dark, dessert-like flavours. This is a warming, sweet-leaning Demerara built for mixing as much as sipping, an accessible young Guyana rum with plenty of caramel depth.
