A 23 Year Old Martinique agricole from Neisson, distilled from fresh cane juice on a creole column from a 2000 vintage, long-aged in ex-bourbon oak and bottled unsweetened at 46.2%.
Description
Neisson Collection Armada 2000 is a 23 Year Old Martinique rhum agricole from Neisson, the small family distillery founded in 1931 and long held in high regard by agricole drinkers. Drawn from the 2000 vintage and aged more than two decades, it sits at the deep end of the XO bracket, with tropical ageing lending real depth.
Distilled from fresh sugar cane juice on a creole column and matured in ex-bourbon oak, then bottled unsweetened at 46.2%, a long-aged Neisson of this kind typically carries the grassy agricole core into rich, mature oak, baking spice, cocoa and leather while staying drier than sweet molasses rum. A serious, vintage agricole for unhurried sipping.
