Description
Depaz sits at the foot of Mont Pelee on Martinique and has distilled since 1917, building its reputation on a volcanic terroir story. La Cuvee du Centenaire XO is an aged agricole made under the island's protected AOC from fresh pressed sugar cane juice.
Distilled on a column still in the cane juice tradition and matured in oak to the XO grade, this should show the depth of mature Martinique agricole, a grassy cane core layered with vanilla, baking spice, cocoa and toasted oak. Bottled unsweetened at 45%, it is dry and spice forward, an aged agricole shaped by the volcanic soils of the island's north.
