Description
Dictador Sinfonia Borbon 2002 is a single cask Colombian rum from Destileria Colombiana, the producer behind the Dictador name. Dictador works in a solera-leaning, richly styled tradition, and this twenty year old single ex-bourbon cask is a more focused, single-barrel expression of that house character.
Distilled in 2002 from molasses and bottled at 44%, it should show the Colombian signature of coffee, cocoa and vanilla over oak, with the bourbon barrel lending toffee and light sweet spice. The added-sugar status is not recorded, so it is fairly read as a smooth, dessert-leaning aged ron in the Dictador idiom rather than a bone-dry style.
