Famille Ricci OVNI 6 is a high strength island blend marrying Trinidad Distillers stock with Belize rum, aged around eighteen years in ex-bourbon and bottled unsweetened at a vivid 61.4%. Ricci builds these as bottlings for experienced palates, and this one is a study in contrast between two origins.

The TDL side brings its signature cool menthol and mint, while Belize adds sweeter, rounder tropical fruit, the two trading places from first nose to empty glass. Aromas of caramelised fruit, oak and tropical fruit lead into a palate of menthol, mango and lime, with toasted oak and a green pepper bite running through the finish. Column distillation keeps it clean and bright despite the power, and the lack of added sugar lets the interplay stay sharp. The result is an absorbing, energetic blend that lets a drinker taste both halves in a single pour.
