Romdeluxe Long Pond Trelawny Parish TECC 2023

Long Pond in Trelawny is Jamaica's historic Wedderburn house, fruit-forward and funky at the top of its range, and RomDeluxe has bottled it here at full distillation strength with no ageing at all. The Danish house built its name on exactly this kind of uncompromising, high-strength pot-still spirit.

The character is all fermentation: esters, glue, solvent and overripe tropical fruit on the nose, then fruity, almost chemical intensity on the palate where even small sips flood the mouth at 85.3%. It carries the TECC mark, one of Long Pond's heaviest marques sitting near the legal ester ceiling. Unaged and unsweetened, it is punishing neat and meant to be deployed where its power is an asset, in a daiquiri or a tiki build, where the fruit and funk cut through everything around them.
