Description
Poisson Pere Labat Revelation is a rhum blanc from the Poisson distillery on Marie-Galante, the home of Pere Labat, a small batch house known for its high proof whites. Distilled from fresh sugarcane juice on a creole column still and bottled from the 2022 vintage at 56%, it follows the local Marie-Galante custom of bottling blancs strong.
This is unaged cane juice in its most vivid form: fresh sugarcane and vegetal greenness on the nose, then a fruity, peppery palate with citrus and floral lift, finishing fresh and dry with a thread of honey. The proof carries the aromatics rather than burying them. A gourmand, cane forward white for drinkers who want the snap and freshness of agricole, made for Ti Punch or a Daiquiri but expressive enough to taste neat.
