Leather, diesel, menthol, licorice and espresso over dark oak, a 31 year single-cask Enmore KFM from Levy Lane’s Tamosi, bottled at full proof 52.6%, dark, oily and intensely woody with a bitter tinged finish.
Description
An Enmore KFM bottled by Levy Lane under their Tamosi label, distilled in 1991 and aged thirty-one years off a single wooden pot still. The KFM marque is among the more characterful old Enmore profiles, prized for its oily weight and depth.
Matured in ex-bourbon oak and bottled at a full 52.6%, it runs dark and oily, with leather, diesel, menthol, licorice, espresso and dried fruit over heavy timber. The finish is long and bitter tinged, the kind of dry, brooding Guyana profile that sits closer to dirty Caroni than to anything sweet. Extra age and strength push the style to its limit while keeping it just balanced enough to sip. A serious bottle for drinkers who already love old, oily Enmore.
