Rest & Be Thankful is a Scottish independent, and this Clarendon carries the MMW pot still marque from the 1998 vintage. After 23 years in ex-bourbon oak it is bottled as a single cask at 54.7% cask strength without added sugar.
No confirmed notes accompany this bottling. A long-aged Clarendon pot still of this type would be expected to show ripe tropical fruit, oak spice, dried orange and a measured solvent funk, with two decades-plus of ageing rounding the sharper edges into something warmer and more layered. At cask strength and undosed it sits in the transparent, estate-driven style independents are prized for, a mature Jamaican for drinkers who favour aged pot still depth over raw young intensity.
