Chalong Bay Distillery Collection Antipodes 2020 is a Thai rum distilled from fresh sugar cane juice rather than molasses, which puts it firmly in the agricole style. Chalong Bay built its reputation on this cane juice approach, and this cask strength release shows the house character at full intensity.
Distilled on column still from fresh cane and given a short period in ex-bourbon oak, it leads with vegetal, herbal and floral notes alongside grassy sugarcane and overripe tropical fruit, all wrapped in honeyed sweetness.
