Description
Karukera Blanc Agricole is an unaged white from Karukera, a Guadeloupe estate relaunched in 2002 and known for its single-cane bottlings. It is made from fresh-pressed sugar-cane juice rather than molasses and column-distilled in the agricole manner.
Bottled at a robust 50%, it is a dry, full-proof blanc in the local style. Typical of an agricole white, expect a grassy, herbaceous core with fresh sugar-cane sap, green olive, white pepper and a saline snap, all freshness rather than sweetness. The natural base for a Ti Punch or for adding clean cane character to cocktails.
