A single cask 29 Year Old Enmore bottled dry at 58.1%, pushing the last wooden Coffey still in the world deep into leather, tobacco, dark chocolate and liquorice for a heavy, tannic and contemplative Guyanese sipper.
Description
Distilia chose this 1992 Enmore for its Golden Age of Piracy series, drawing on the EHP marque and the wooden Coffey still at Diamond, the only operating wooden Coffey left anywhere. Nearly three decades in cask and full proof at 58.1% make this a serious, single cask expression of one of Guyana's most characterful stills.
Matured in ex-bourbon and left unsweetened, it trades the elegance Enmore often shows for darkness and weight: leather, pipe tobacco, dark chocolate and dried fruit on the nose, then roasted wood, liquorice and coffee across a dry, tannic palate. The finish runs long on leather and cocoa. This is built for unhurried evenings and experienced palates who want old Demerara at its most brooding.
