Fruits des Pluies is a young cane-juice rum from Baie des Tresors on Martinique, the island that holds the world's only rum AOC. The spirit is distilled from fresh-pressed sugar cane juice on a creole column at low strength to keep the grassy cane character intact, with no added sugar permitted, then given a short rest in French oak just past the year mark.

This is the bright, snappy side of agricole rather than a deeply wood-aged style. The nose is fresh and green with sugarcane, citrus, florals and a vegetal lift, while the palate brings fresh cane, lime and white pepper with a grassy, floral, lightly spiced finish and just a whisper of oak. Bottled at a punchy 50%, it has more energy and grip than a standard 40 percent pour, which suits the fresh-cane intensity.
