Description
Rum Nation is a well regarded Italian bottler known for its regional releases and signature two stage ageing. This 1982 Demerara, presented as an original still rum, was matured 18 years in ex-bourbon before bottling at 45%.
Molasses based and drawn from one of Guyana's heritage stills, it carries the woody, dark fruited depth that long aged Demerara is known for. Expect brown sugar, dried fruit, seasoned wood and gentle spice, softened and rounded by nearly two decades in oak. From a vintage now four decades old, it is a layered, contemplative pour from a respected house.
