This Long Pond STCE was selected by La Maison du Whisky and bottled under Habitation Velier's Pure Single Rum line, a single cask distilled in 2010 and bottled at eleven years old. Long Pond in Trelawny is the historic Wedderburn house, funky and fruit-forward, and the STCE marque is a beloved high-ester profile that carries a sour, confectionery character through both its white and aged versions.

Distilled on the double-retort pot still from molasses and matured tropically in ex-bourbon oak, the Caribbean heat has pushed deep extraction while keeping the ester core intact. Expect sour cherry, solvent and tropical fruit on the nose, then a buttery palate of overripe pineapple, mango and vanilla, with a spicy, oak-edged sour-cherry finish. Unsweetened and bottled at a powerful but well-knit 60%, the alcohol barely shows for its strength, which is exactly what makes it so easy to keep pouring. A rich, characterful Long Pond for drinkers who already love the funk.
