Whisper Gold Rum

Whisper Gold comes from Antigua, an island better known for its lighter column rums, and this one is distilled on a pot still for a little more body and grip. It carries no age statement and sits at a soft 40%, placing it firmly in everyday gold rum territory rather than the collector shelf.

The nose leans on vanilla and dried fruit with a spicy edge and a clear note of spirit, while the palate runs dry and woody with a thread of orchard and tropical fruit underneath. The molasses base and pot still origin give it a faintly rustic feel, but the overall impression is light and accessible rather than rich or layered. It works best as an honest, no-frills sipper over ice or as a flavourful backbone in a rum and cola, where its dry, fruity character holds up well against a mixer.
