Bielle Rhum Arrangé Shrubb

Bielle Rhum Arrangé Shrubb is the Marie-Galante distillery's take on shrubb, the Creole Christmas liqueur made by macerating bitter orange peel and spices in agricole rum and sweetening. Bielle is known on Marie-Galante for cane-variety experiments and high-proof blancs, here turned toward a traditional festive style rather than a dry rhum.

No tasting notes are recorded, but the shrubb style is well defined: candied and bitter orange, warm baking spice and sweetness over the grassy cane base. At 40% it is richer than most punches. It is served chilled as an aperitif or digestif, or stirred into cocktails for an orange-peel lift.
