Travellers S.B.S 2005

Travellers S.B.S 2005 is a single barrel Belize rum from 1423's Single Barrel Selection, the Danish line known for transparent, unsweetened, cask strength bottlings. Distilled at the Travellers distillery in 2005 and aged 14 years, it is presented at 58%, a richer and more indulgent expression of the Belize profile.

Fourteen years in ex bourbon have built a deep, dessert like character. The nose leads with vanilla, coconut, chocolate and toffee, the palate turns to toffee, raisin, chocolate and dried fruit, and the finish runs woody and roasty with dark chocolate. Despite carrying no added sugar it tastes naturally sweet, full of rum raisin and caramel popcorn warmth, and the alcohol is reasonably well integrated for the strength though still present. This is a cozy, comforting sipper made for relaxed evenings, well suited to drinkers who enjoy rich, chocolatey Belize rum and want more punch and length without any additives.
