A 14 year old Glendullan from the distillery, at 58.7%. Soft pear and a light honey. A long fermentation gives a green, grassy, lightly fruity spirit. Bottled by Diageo as the Singleton of Glendullan for the US market. Most of its make goes to blends, above all Diageo’s Old Parr. This is a Speyside single malt of easy charm.

Description
Glendullan from the distillery, a 14 year old, from 1995, cask 12718, at 58.7%, 636 bottles in all. Glendullan is a fresh, grassy Speyside malt of orchard fruit and a malty sweetness. It sits on the banks of the River Fiddich, in the heart of Speyside. It was the last of the Dufftown stills, the town said to stand on seven stills as Rome stands on seven hills.
Taken gently through wash and spirit stills, for a fresh, fruity spirit with a light body. A bourbon barrel held it, the wood adding a soft honey over the orchard fruit. Through integration spirit and wood marry, vanillin rounding out as esters lend a riper orchard and tropical fruit. The fresh, fruity spirit deepens with time, the cask drawing out a soft honey. Vanillin and oak lactones from the wood lend vanilla and a soft coconut over the fruit. First fill wood drives the maturation, the cask clear in the light spirit.
Bottled at a cask strength 58.7%, it is concentrated. Pear, citrus and a soft barley, lifted by a soft oak. A green apple and a gentle citrus lift the middle. A medium finish carries a soft honey. This is a fresh, grassy Speyside single malt.
