From Van Wees, the Dutch house behind The Ultimate range, this Cask Strength 17 Year Old is a 1996 vintage from Oloroso cask 105092, an outturn of 582 bottles.
Seventeen years in Oloroso built deep sherried maturity, the cask's melanoidins giving dried fruit and its tannins a nutty grip.
At 60.1% it shows deep sherried dried fruit over Longmorn's rich body, undiluted. An Ultimate 17.
