Elixir Distillers, the independent founded by Sukhinder Singh of The Whisky Exchange, bottles this 29 Year Old in The Single Malts of Scotland, a 1990 vintage from ex-Bourbon cask 12291, a tiny outturn of 104 bottles.
Twenty-nine years in ex-Bourbon matured the weighty Longmorn make, the cask giving vanilla and a faint coconut through its oak lactones.
At 49.1% it shows citrus and honey over Longmorn's mature fruit, undiluted. A Single Malts of Scotland 29.
