From Douglas Laing has bottled single casks from its Glasgow base since 1948's Old Particular range, this 25 Year Old is a 1994 vintage from ex-Bourbon cask DL 13921, an outturn of 242 bottles at a powerful strength.
Twenty-five years in ex-Bourbon shaped the weighty make, the low-tannin oak lending vanilla and a light toffee.
At 60.1% it shows citrus, honey, new wood and vanilla over Longmorn's richness, undiluted. An Old Particular 25.
