From Douglas Laing has bottled single casks from its Glasgow base since 1948's Directors' Cut range, this 20 Year Old is a 1992 vintage from ex-Bourbon cask DL 9528, an outturn of 181 bottles.
Twenty years in ex-Bourbon matured the rich spirit, the low-tannin American oak lending vanilla through lignin breakdown.
At 53.6% it shows citrus, fresh fruit, new wood and vanilla over Longmorn's body, undiluted. A Directors' Cut 20.
