Blanton’s Original Single Barrel, launched in 1984, holds a unique place in bourbon history as the world’s first commercially released single barrel bourbon. It is produced at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, using their undisclosed high-rye Mash Bill #2. Each bottle of Blanton’s represents the unique character and nuances of a single barrel, bottled at its peak maturity without blending or chill filtration.

Description
This approach results in subtle variations between bottles, making each pour a truly individual experience. Typically aged for 6 to 8 years in new, charred American white oak barrels, Blanton's Original is bottled at 93 proof (46.5% ABV). The nose offers a rich and complex aroma with notes of caramel, vanilla, honey, citrus, and spice. On the palate, expect a balance of sweetness and spice, with flavors of caramel, dark chocolate, toasted nuts, and a touch of oak. The finish is long and satisfying, with a gentle warmth and lingering notes of vanilla and oak.
Blanton's Original is presented in its iconic eight-sided bottle, topped with a collectible horse and jockey stopper. Each stopper features a unique pose, further emphasizing the individuality of each bottle.
