An official release of Glen Moray, a 10 year old, from 2014, at 55.2%. Glen Moray is a Speyside single malt from La Martiniquaise, light and approachable in style. It was a pioneer of wine cask finishing, working with Chardonnay casks back in the 1990s.

It was distilled light and fruity in the Glen Moray style, building the fresh Glen Moray style. Finished in a Tequila cask, the wood building over the fruity, light spirit. By the integrating teens congeners fade and esters build, the light, fruity spirit growing rounder. Refill oak lets the light, fruity Glen Moray character lead the way. Glen Moray has long made an accessible, fruity Speyside in the classic style. Vanillin and oak lactones from the wood lend vanilla and coconut over the fruit. River Lossie water and the tall stills give the light Glen Moray make. The light, fruity make takes cask flavour well while keeping its apple and pear.

At its natural 55.2% it is concentrated. A fresh, fruity sweetness, with a green, peppery, vegetal edge from the cask. A soft fruit and a gentle oak give it depth. The close is light and clean, fruit over a gentle oak. This is Glen Moray's clean, accessible Speyside style.
