The bottler Valinch and Mallet bottled this Glen Keith, a 25 year old, distilled in 1991, from cask 15852, bottled at 55.9%, one of 161 bottles. Glen Keith is a Speyside single malt known for a light, sweet, fruity character. It was mothballed in 1999 and revived by Pernod Ricard in 2013 after a full refit.

Made on Balloch Hill water and condensed in shell and tube condensers, for a clean make of orchard fruit and a soft honey. It rested in ex-Bourbon oak, oak lactones lending vanilla and a little coconut. Through the evaporative decades the spirit concentrates, esters folding into mango, beeswax and a soft honey. Built for the blender's art, the spirit ages with grace as a single malt. Single malt Glen Keith is rare, most of it coming from independent bottlers. Balloch Hill water and the tall stills give the light Glen Keith make. It was built in 1957 by Seagram on the site of a meal mill, directly behind Strathisla.

At a hearty 55.9% it carries real weight. Apple, pear and a soft vanilla, with a soft vanilla from the oak. It is fresh and fruity, the light spirit shining through. A long, fruity finish carries a green apple and a soft spice. This is Glen Keith's clean, fruity Speyside style.
