A Glen Keith of an 18 year old chosen by the bottler The Finest Notes, distilled in 1995, bottled at 51.2%, one of 124 bottles. Glen Keith, founded in 1957, was Seagram's innovation plant on Speyside. Its tall, narrowing stills give a light, fruity Speyside spirit.

Made on Balloch Hill water and condensed in shell and tube condensers, for the light, fruity make Glen Keith is known for. It was matured in refill ex-Bourbon oak, a soft vanilla beneath the fruit. Into oxidative maturity, slow air ingress builds fruity ethyl esters (apple and pear) and a honeyed depth. Balloch Hill water and the tall stills give the light Glen Keith make. Maturation in the racked warehouses at Keith is slow and steady. Refill oak lets the light, fruity Glen Keith character lead the way. It sits within sight of Strathisla, the oldest distillery in Scotland. Years in oak round the spirit, the green apple deepening to honey and tropical fruit.

At cask strength 51.2% it is full bodied. A light, orchard fruit and citrus, with a soft vanilla from the oak. A soft fruit and a gentle oak give it depth. The close is light and clean, fruit over a gentle oak. This is a clean, fruity Speyside single malt.
