A 10 year old Edradour from the Pitlochry bottler Signatory Vintage, distilled in 2015, from cask 303, bottled at 46%. Edradour is a full bodied, oily Highland malt made on Ben Vrackie water at Pitlochry. A 2018 expansion added a second still house, the production still small and traditional.

Made in the smallest of stills and condensed in worm tubs, for the rich, oily make Edradour is known for. An Oloroso cask held it, shaping the oily spirit over the years. In integration lactones (coconut) and vanillin (vanilla) knit with the malt, the nutty chocolate deepening. Active wood frames the rich fruit without overwhelming the oily Highland spirit. Vanillin and oak lactones from the wood lend vanilla and coconut over the fruit. It keeps the old ways, with an open cast iron mash tun, Oregon pine washbacks and worm tub condensers. Its tiny copper stills and worm tubs give a rich, oily, full bodied spirit.

At 46% it is smooth and rich. A rich, oily orchard fruit and almond, with dried fruit, fig and walnut from the cask. Fig, nut and a creamy malt fill the middle. A long, nutty finish carries dried fruit and a soft spice. This is a creamy, nutty Highland single malt.
