This official Tullibardine single malt matured to 47 year old from 1964, drawn from cask 3354 and bottled at 42.1%. Just 224 bottles were filled. Built in 1949 at Blackford in Perthshire, Tullibardine is a soft, honeyed Highland malt. Delme-Evans went on to design the Jura and GlenAllachie distilleries.

It was worked through the distillery's pot stills, for the soft, honeyed Highland make Tullibardine is known for. Maturation came in ex-Bourbon wood, with vanilla under the malt. Decades leave it deep and gentle, waxy honey and dried fruit with great age. The slow loss of the angel's share concentrates the honeyed, malty core over time. The malt also feeds the Highland Queen blend, another brand in the Picard stable. Part of the old estate was turned into a retail outlet during the lean years. The distillery sits just off the A9 near Gleneagles, one of Scotland's more accessible. Under French wine ownership the distillery has leaned into its cask finishes.

Undiluted at 42.1%, it is layered. A soft, fruity vanilla meet a quiet vanilla from the refill oak. Beneath it run honey, toffee and a soft spice. It finishes soft, honeyed and clean. This is a soft, honeyed Highland single malt.
