Description
From Wilson & Morgan, the Italian independent behind the Barrel Selection range, this 23 Year Old is a 1997 from a small parcel of casks, an outturn of 632 bottles. Mortlach's robust, umami-rich spirit is the work of worm-tub condensers and the Wee Witchie's triple pass, a regime in place at Dufftown since 1897.
Twenty-three years in Oloroso built deep sherried maturity on the meaty frame, melanoidins and decades of oxidation giving dried fruit, leather and nuts.
At 56% it shows leather, undiluted. A Beast of Dufftown.
