Description
Sestante, the storied Italian bottler. This Pluscarden Valley 22 Year Old is a 1966 vintage matured in Oloroso, bottled in 1988. Miltonduff, a light, floral Speyside from near Elgin, its spirit long destined for the Ballantine's blend.
By twenty-two years the floral spirit had turned deep and leathery in the sherry, oxidation drawing out fig, date and walnut over polished oak.
At 58.4% it shows citrus, dried fruit, a sherried character, chocolate, honey and nuts, undiluted. A 1966 Pluscarden Valley 22.
