Whiskymax, a German independent, bottles this Croftengea, a peat-forward Loch Lomond malt, a 12 year old from 2006 in Oloroso, cask 9615.
Twelve years in Oloroso lend dried fruit over the peat, the cask's melanoidins giving fig and raisin against the smoke.
At 46% the sherried fruit plays against the wood smoke, guaiacol and cresols carrying the smoke. A sherried peated Croftengea.
