Description
From Jack Wiebers' Fighting Fish series, this is Croftengea, a heavily peated malt from Loch Lomond, a 10 year old from 2007 at a punchy strength.
Ten years in ex-Bourbon at full strength keep the spirit's grip, the low-tannin oak lending vanilla beneath the peat.
At 56.6% the wood smoke is vigorous over the malt, guaiacol and phenols driving the reek. A peated Croftengea.
