Description
From Claxton's Exploration Series, this Croftengea is a peat-forward Loch Lomond malt, a 6 year old from 2017 in Oloroso, a sibling to the other sherried Croftengea of the year.
Six years in Oloroso lend dried fruit over the peat, the cask's melanoidins giving fig and raisin against the smoke.
At 50% the sherried fruit plays against the wood smoke, smoke phenols and guaiacol to the fore. A sherried peated Croftengea.
