Inchmoan is the peated counterpart to Inchmurrin, named for another island in the loch and made from the same site's smoke. This Island Collection 12 matures it across American oak and ex-Bourbon.
Twelve years in the two American-oak cask types lend vanilla beneath a peated spirit shaped through Loch Lomond's straight-neck and swan-neck stills.
At 46% it shows wood smoke with dried and fresh fruit, a fragrant lift and a citric edge, guaiacol and phenols from the peat driving the reek over the cask vanilla. A core Inchmoan.
