Littlemill 32 Years Old 1989 (The Whisky Agency), from The Whisky Agency in ex-Bourbon at 55.2%. A light Lowland malt with citrus over soft orchard fruit.
In stock

Description
The Whisky Agency bottles single casks from Germany, each under distinctive artwork. Filled in 1989 and bottled in 2022, the whisky is a 32 year old Littlemill. An outturn this small from a distillery that closed in 1994 puts it among the rarest Lowland whisky still available.
An ex-Bourbon cask and thirty-two years shape Littlemill's elegant Lowland character.
Bottled at cask strength, 55.2%, vanilla and a soft oak frame from the ex-Bourbon. Expect citrus, cooked fruit, fresh fruit, a malt note, new wood. A refill barrel works slowly: vanillin for vanilla, lactones for coconut, and oxidation building soft orchard fruit. Decades in a damp Lowland warehouse cost roughly two percent a year, alcohol leaving faster than water, softening the strength and deepening the spirit.
