Description
Moon-Import was founded in 1980 by Pepi Mongiardino and ranks among Italy's most revered independents, famous for themed series like The Birds. This bottling is a 23 year old Littlemill, from cask 3447 - 050, laid down in 1967 and drawn off in 1990, part of The Animals series. A lost distillery leaves only what was already laid down, and those reserves grow thinner each year.
An ex-Bourbon cask and twenty-three years shape the fine, fruity Littlemill make.
At 46%, vanilla and pale oak from the ex-Bourbon. Light and fragrant, the elegant Lowland signature throughout. Wood sugars from the caramelised hemicellulose give a light toffee, while lignin yields the vanillin behind the vanilla.
