Description
Hart Brothers built its name on Glasgow-bottled single casks from the 1960s onward. This 24 year old Littlemill came off the stills in 1988 and was bottled in 2013, part of the Finest Collection series. These are the last of Littlemill, a closed distillery's stock dwindling toward nothing.
Ex-Bourbon and twenty-four years round Littlemill's gentle Lowland character.
At 46%, the ex-Bourbon gives vanilla and a creamy oak. Expect a fragrant note, honey, a sherried character. The refill ex-Bourbon gives up vanillin and lactones slowly, framing the light spirit with vanilla and coconut rather than swamping it.
