Description
Britain's oldest wine and spirits merchant, Berry Bros & Rudd has bottled whisky for over a century. Distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2013, this is a 24 year old Littlemill, from cask 32, in the Berrys' range. Silent since 1992 and demolished in 2005, Littlemill exists now only in the casks that remain.
Held in ex-Bourbon for twenty-four years, the oak settles the lost distillery's soft spirit.
At 52.3%, undiluted, the bourbon wood lends vanilla and a clean oak edge. Buttery vanilla and orchard fruit, classic Littlemill. Long oxidation coaxes fruity esters from the spirit, the ex-Bourbon's vanillin and lactones adding vanilla and coconut.
