Description
Duncan Taylor sits on one of Scotland's largest private cask collections, a legacy of its 1938 broking roots. A 12 year old Laphroaig, from cask 56401, this was distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2010., from the Rare Auld range.
Held in ex-Bourbon for twelve years, the oak settles the heavily peated make.
Bottled undiluted at 55.1%, with sweet vanilla from the ex-Bourbon cask. The peat is oily and phenolic, brine underneath.
