The Distillers Art bottled this 2007 Knockdhu, labelled anCnoc, for its Spirit of Art range from ex-Bourbon cask 646, a 13 year old, an outturn of 257 bottles. Knockdhu, in Banffshire, makes a light, fresh Highland spirit and is named anCnoc to prevent confusion with Knockando.
Knockdhu runs a single pair of stills. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask over thirteen years, the oak round the spirit with vanilla and a soft toffee note.
53%, at the cask's own strength. From the ex-Bourbon come vanilla and coconut, the full power lifting the bright fruit. An independent single cask.
