Description
Black Hill Reserve is a travel retail anCnoc, named for Knock Hill, the black hill behind the distillery that gives Knockdhu its Gaelic name. Bottled in 2014 for the duty-free shelf. Knockdhu distillery, in the Banffshire countryside, is named anCnoc to avoid confusion with Knockando, and is one of Scotland's smallest distilleries, founded in 1894.
Matured in ex-Bourbon casks, the wood gives a clean vanilla sweetness to the bright spirit.
Bottled at 46%. The ex-Bourbon lends vanilla and coconut through its vanillin and oak lactones. Noted flavours include citrus, fresh fruit, vanilla and an oily texture. A fresh travel retail anCnoc.
