Description
The 16 Years Old is a core anCnoc, the single malt of Knockdhu distillery near Huntly in Banffshire, matured in American oak. The whisky is named anCnoc, Gaelic for the hill, to set it apart from Knockando.
Reopened in 1989 under Inver House, Knockdhu makes a soft, fresh Highland spirit. Matured in American oak casks over sixteen years, the wood build a rounded, vanilla-rich character with soft oak.
Bottled at 46%. The oak brings vanilla and light coconut. Expect fresh fruit, a hay-like note, an oily texture and a vegetal edge. A fresh older anCnoc.
