Description
The Dutch bottler van Wees released this 11 year old 2011 Knockando for its Ultimate range, from ex-Bourbon cask 302550, for the Netherlands. Knockando, founded in 1898 in Speyside, is the heart of the J&B blend.
Now part of Diageo, Knockando makes a light, fine Speyside spirit. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask over eleven years, the wood frames the malt.
Bottled at 46%, non-chill-filtered. The ex-Bourbon gives vanillin for vanilla and oak lactones for coconut, with maltol for toffee over the soft, fruity character. An independent single cask from a Dutch bottler.
